The SIS Analyst is responsive to all Surgical Services units for troubleshooting issues with the electronic medical record. The Analyst is responsible for verifying patient accounts, verifying and inputting patient charges, entering post procedure data, and assuring documentation is correct and accurate daily. The Analyst must demonstrate well-developed computer skills to include knowledge of software systems including advanced knowledge of Excel and Word to facilitate data reporting. Additional requirements: must possess excellent communications skills within the department as well as with external departments; must be self directed to complete deadlines; must be able to analyze data/ performance for trends and purpose workflow changes/ improvements. The Analyst must use a team approach by working cooperatively with other members of the healthcare team and other computer systems personnel. The Analyst works closely with the Clinical Coordinators and the Director of Surgical Services to provide required information on a daily basis to make productive decisions regarding the department’s performance.

High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in secretarial skills. Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers. Must have excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Prefer minimum of one year experience with information systems in the operating room environment.
